THE QUIET REVOLUTION

Changing of Our Government Heads
The winnowing of our elected government heads is a job we can ill afford not to do, since they have become the demigods of our nation. To leave even one in place is to give the impression that we will accept the abuse of power and wasteful spending of our tax dollars on foolish projects that are doomed to failure. The upheaval of the voting public is a cry for the freedoms we hold dear, but this outcry isn’t enough, it will take the vote of the people to correct the wrongs and ills of our nation. We can start this year and carry it on through 2012, by voting out the worst of the demigods, Barack Obama.
But progressive judges at the federal level create, rather than interpret the law and have for many years. We have seen a systematic attack on the framework of our laws from the executive branch, the placement that is about to take place with Kagan, another liar. Now we are being attacked with a treasonous bill that would give amnesty to millions of people that crossed our borders by breaking the law.
Federal immigration statutes mandate a clearly defined American border, which aliens may not cross without authorization. But the Obama administration and our so called progressive Congress, not only does not enforce the statutes, but is also preparing to sue the state of Arizona, (the one state that has taken on the mantle of doing the federal government’s job), for implementing enforcement that follows the intent of neglected federal laws. Apparently, the President and our Congress believe that enforcement of existing law is a bargaining chip that they can used to obtain comprehensive immigration reform which is a substitute for blanket amnesty.
Other states are trying to boycott Arizona, while the President of Mexico condemns Arizona from our own White House lawn, counting on President Obama to help in demoralizing one of our very own states. All this is reminiscent of two centuries ago, when the federal government was in a state of conflict with the different states, which were also in conflict with each other and were asking for support from other countries.
Undocumented Alien Invasion of Sovereign Territory
The word ‘undocumented’ in today’s parlance in Washington, evidently means breaking the federal law and living here illegally and sponging on taxpayer dollars. In fact the very people we have elected to our federal government to uphold the existing laws of this country and who have promised to do so have failed us in that respect. Our federal judges who have also promised to go after lawbreaking employers, have elected to not pursue the law breaking employee, but pay them money that rightfully belongs to the people while they live in our country. Is this right?
Our laws in this country have eroded to the point that our federal government can twist those laws to suit their political purposes and be upheld by the highest court in the land. Yet our citizens cannot circumvent the law, or choose which law we will obey. We cannot speed on our nation’s highways and expect a bank robber to go free, because it may support the aims of a political elected branch of our society. Nor should questions of race, color, ethnicity, or gender determine the degree to which federal government decides to enforce our laws.
Big Business Infractions
BP Oil Company was derelict in their drilling safety operations in the Gulf of Mexico, but that does not justify Obama from creating a moratorium on drilling in deep water off our coasts, (especially without legislation or a federal court order) and ignore past legal precedent capping oil company’s liability. But this administration under Obama decides to put a heavy weight around the neck of the oil industry as a whole, until BP comes up with the reparations for the damage caused by the current accident. Indeed it would not surprise me to see Obama try to nationalize the oil industry in this country as Chavez did in Venezuela, since we are moving toward a dictatorship as a clip that is out of control.
We should have been able to see this coming when Obama bailed out General Motors by Executive Order, overturning the legal order of creditors, but the group included union workers who had contributed heavily to his presidential campaign. Obama classified the major creditors as speculators, putting his constituents and campaign donors in front of them. One of the first signs of a failing society is that it does not honor its contract with the people, but re-interprets those contracts to what is seen as a political advantage.
At this time there is even talk of an Executive decree from the EPA to implement provisions of the Cap and Trade legislation that Congress will not pass. Republican Senators are worried that Obama’s administration will also begin to grant amnesty to illegals in great numbers without benefit of introducing the proposals to Congress, which alone has the right to make our laws. The Executive orders to be able to shut down all flights if one airplane crashes, to place a moratorium on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and to call for the shutdown of all nuclear plants, should only one develop a leak, is a pure and simple circumvention of the laws of this nation. It smacks of a real intent to allow the crisis of the oil spill go unchecked for the larger environmental effort to reduce carbon emissions by stopping the plants and automobiles from using the oil, that puts out the majority of these emissions.
Government Takeover
Most of these ends that justify the means give a message by a man who would have us change into a socialistic government by using extralegal means if this is the only way he can convince the public that it is in their best interest. What has not been driven home to Obama and his cronies as yet, it that many of his former supporters, the Progressives, and far left liberals who wanted change are jumping ship, as they see it sinking, but he still has the nucleus of social learners’ to bolster his egotiscal thinking .
If one looks at the future through anything but rose colored glasses, they can see how easy it would be for a dictator to take control in this country. When that happens, it is easy for a totalitarian government to force its will on a people who made the mistake of handing the reigns to government without a fight. Keep in mind that a people under a dictatorship are slaves and people with the freedom of will and spirit will always be free.
Remember that Obama was a law professor who campaigned on respect for the law, as he constantly did away with the elements of the Bush administration’s war on terror, all of which he kept and expanded on. Most all that was illegal in 2009 has now become legal and worthy of emulating and expanding.
While the media still scream about imagined threats to constitutional stability from the right wing Tea Partiers, the Obama administration is usurping our Constitution as this is written. The left wingers and Progressives in the Congress and Senate continue to dance to Obama’s tune, as he brings down the Democrat Party. These lawmakers still espouse the advancement of what they call long overdue social programs and change, which can only be right because it was implemented by a law professor and past critic of George Bush’s supposed past transgressions and abuses of power.

The Truth Of What is Happening to Our Borders
Today was a very enlightening day, but there were a few who could not be enlightened, because they have their heads so far in the sand, (and I use the word sand for public consumption) that to try and get them to see the light from people who have been on the border and worked to protect us with the limited resources the Border Patrol have had for the last 50 odd years is useless. Two esteemed gentlemen from the Fraternal Order of Retired Border Patrol Officers gave a graphic picture of the problems along the border in Arizona and the problems that a Wilderness designation would present to the people of New Mexico, who live along the border with Mexico, should S-1869 be passed.
I had the unhappy misfortune to try to educate Jeff Steinborn about the folly of this bill, (which he supports), but he is like a man who has a closed mind and does not want to be bothered with facts. This is truly not the type of representative we need in the Roundhouse in Santa Fe. We need someone who will represent the people and their needs, not the actions that will help the criminal element that is doing everything they can to bring more violence into our state by the drug cartels and people smugglers.
I can remember that my father once told me that “you can’t serve two masters and serve them both well and equally.” This in a true statement and since Jeff Steinborn is an employee of the Wilderness Alliance, (a group that is considered by the FBI to be an eco-terrorist, with affiliations to other eco-terrorist groups and founded by an admitted eco-terrorist) he is at there beck and call and works to do their bidding. If he does the bidding of the one master, how can he serve the other, which are the people of New Mexico?
I don’t wish to beat people over the head with the same things I have written about before, or to be redundant, but the issues are so important to the protection we deserve from our federal government. If you think the killing will stop in Mexico and not flow across the border, then we had best reevaluate our standing. The wars between the cartels in that country are being fought for supremacy and control of the lucrative corridors that will be created by S-1869. Much of the violence is already in Arizona and some is here in New Mexico already. Do you want more crime in Las Cruces, or in our state? The gangs that have formed over the last ten years at the direction and financing from the Mexican drug cartels is still increasing in El Paso, Anthony, Chaparral and here in Las Cruces.
The border Patrol needs a buffer zone of access that is at least 50 miles to 100 miles wide along all of our borders, or we will find ourselves inundated with Illegal aliens and drug smugglers before we know it. We already have to secure our homes with burglar alarms, guns and cameras now. What do you think we will stand off the invasion with when these criminals come in large numbers through a corridor that has been created by a Wilderness, where motor driven devices and vehicles of the Border Patrol and law enforcement are restricted? Do you think the criminals will stop at the Wilderness? They have no respect for the law and will run through the Wilderness like a case of Montezuma’s Revenge.
The federal government has dragged its feet for so many years now, that the only containment would be to close or secure the border with more boots on the ground and access to all areas to within at least 50 miles of the border, then enforce the laws we have on the books. When you tie the hands of law enforcement and Border Patrol, you not only put their lives in jeopardy, but it gives the criminals the home court advantage.
Enforcing the Laws We Have On the Books
In 1954 the burgeoning numbers of Illegals immigrants from Mexico forced Dwight Eisenhower to appoint John Cox and General Joseph Swing as Immigration Commissioners, because he realized the danger of overburdening the United States with the cost of supporting so many illegal immigrants in our country. He stated that “the illegal crossing by Mexican wetbacks – coined from the route they took to reach the United States by crossing the Rio Grande River – to a current rate of over 1,000,000 is accompanied by a relaxation of ethical standards all the way from the farmers who exploit this contraband labor to the highest levels of the federal government.”
Operation wetback was modeled after that came to be known as the “Mexican Repatriation” which put pressure on Mexican citizens to return to Mexico during the Great Depression because of an economic crisis in the United States, by Woodrow Wilson. The effort began in Arizona and California and coordinated more than 1,000 Border Patrol Agents, coupled with local and state police to mount an aggressive crackdown. This included massive police sweeps in Mexican American neighborhoods, random stops and checks of anyone who looked to be of Mexican extraction and even included many native Americans. In many cases parents who had children born on American soil were deported with their children as a standard practice.
This did not set too well with Mexico and their was an outcry from that country, but it did not stop the flow if illegals to Vera Cruz Mexico via ships loaded with illegals. Deportation by sea was only stopped after seven deportees jumped overboard and drowned. It had to be done to protect returning servicemen, which made it easier for these men to acquire jobs. Today we have more than 20 million illegals here, but the economic stress we have now our economy cannot support both our citizens and the illegals as well. Drastic times bring drastic measures, but the first obligation is to our citizens in this country.
HIGHER AND MORE IMPORTANT LOSSES

Oil Spill Means Much More Than Higher Gasoline
When we think about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, our minds go to the loss of dollars to the states of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas and the country of Mexico, but there is another loss that hits us much harder at home and that is the loss of the oil that is used in a thousand products in this and other countries. Gasoline is only one small loss in this arena, as we may see prices begin to climb a bit at the pumps. But there are two items that we will surely pay for and that is plastic and tar.
We take for granted the highways and streets we travel on each day, the increasing cost of repaving and filling potholes that keep mounting up in most of our towns and cities. Many of these cities are already trying to weather a recession and the added cost of paving material may be at the bottom of the list of needs. If the drilling moratorium continues into the future and the price of oil climbs much more, we may see our country take a step back to the 30s and 40s, when many of our cities and towns still had dirt and gravel streets and highways.
I for one can remember driving on streets along the Gulf coast that used oyster shells to cover the dirt streets that were prevalent, while in many other parts of the U S, we still had many gravel covered highways, roads and streets. How many of you out there can remember the damage caused to automobiles, their suspension, undercarriage, tires, windshields and the like from this type of roadway? How many of you can remember roads and highways that had many of these types of roadways until the mid 40s saw more and more paving?
We do not think of the time before there was plastic, before there were paved highways or such common things we have today. How many of you out there remember what it was like to heat a house with only wood or kerosene? If oil goes high enough we could see the end to electricity that we use to air condition our homes, and just possibly a moratorium on its use through rationing. The President of this country is taking us down a road that could very well send us into a living standard that it has taken us 70 years to get out of.
Obama wants to place all the blame on the oil companies, but in reality much of the blame lands at the doorstep of the President, the Senate and Congress. There has been a don’t see, don’t worry attitude in our federal government for too many years. Emergency measures should have bee developed by our federal government as far back as the 80s and even as far back as the 70s, but our representatives in Washington have left it all up to the states, science, engineering and the oil industry to find ways to contain emergencies such as we have today.
Overtaxed and Taken Advantage of
The cost to the taxpayers is Great because of Poor judgment by our leaders in Washington, at our state levels, and by the large corporations that have gouged the American people for the last four decades because they want more money to spend for pork barrel projects and large bank accounts. How much can one person, or even three generations spend? Why has the government allowed the insurance companies to gouge the American people with high costs for mandatory insurance for homes and automobiles? Why is it that they have allowed the banks and credit card companies to charge usurious fees by tying the interest to a credit score that is ridiculous and raise that rate if you are late on one payment?
This and many other questions need to be answered. Why has the government taxed us to death and even taxes us on anything we acquire, even when we die, (the death tax) which takes away from the little we might leave to our children? They say we should be happy to pay taxes for people who do not want to work, or who are in this country illegally. All this while our representatives throw lavish parties in Washington and spend money like there is an endless supply to be had at taxpayer expense and take junkets to foreign countries with an excuse to study this or that; while Obama takes long, expensive vacations, travels the world apologizing for the ugly Americans who have shed blood on so many shores to pull the chestnuts (to use a word that will suffice for mixed company) of many nations from the fire.
Our people have nothing to apologize for to any nation on this planet. It is offensive to me and to millions of other Americans who fought for this country’s freedom, when our leader bows to a foreign king of potentate and further offensive to me when our own elected President dishonors our Constitution, the very foundation of our country. To any one of us who committed such and act, we would be tried for treason and either spend the rest of our life in prison, or be sentenced to death.
To cap off the offensiveness of Obama, he is taking his own people to destruction, the same people who gave them their trust and voted for him. I wonder if the black community is proud to have him as their leader at this point. How many of these same people are not in danger of losing their homes, being relegated to not having a roof over their heads? I wonder if the Obama administration is working out for the black community, or any of the people who supported him. One good thing Obama has done is to wake up the people of this nation to the plight he is bringing to us.
NO AMNESTY

The idea of granting amnesty to aliens who have broken the law by crossing our borders without proper authority, or staying here illegally is based on several fallacies. Those fallacies are: (1) that we need them, (2) they are indispensable to our economy, (3) they do work Americans citizens won’t do.
Let’s take the third part of this equation ‘work Americans won’t do’, a statement made out of ignorance or a lie that is knowingly told to persuade the citizens of this country that we can’t survive economically without an easy pool of cheap labor. This is a slam against Americans who do this work when allowed to and who would, in the future, if given the chance to do so. NAFBPO thinks that in either situation employers want a supply of cheap labor easier to manage and increases the profits, but the government that makes the laws on immigration, enforces these laws is not there to make life easier for just the employers.
There is no labor shortage in this country and only during the Second World War was there ever a shortage, nor is there likely to be in the future, so for the government to pass laws granting amnesty, or making such policy as though we were in a labor shortage crisis, to millions of illegal aliens is ludicrous at best and irresponsible as well.
The Chicago Business magazine, on January 25, 2006 said, ‘when Wal Mart posted ads for 325 positions at a new store in Oak Park, Illinois that month, 24,000 people showed up. It is normal, according to Wal Mart managers for people to show up for Wal Mart job offers at a rate of 8 to 10 people to apply for each position when opening a new store. Another story of a Wal Mart Store opening in Oakland, California drew 10,000 applicants for jobs and many more stories like this have been brought to light.
According to MBG Information Services, in an editorial in Manufacturing News on January 19, 2006, “the December jobs report, since the bust of the 1990s financial bubble, the United States has faced the lowest job creation on record since 1939.” This tells the public at large that we do not have a labor pool shortage. “The article goes on to report, “Indeed, since jobs lost paid for more hours worked per week than did the newly created jobs, the country ended 2005 with fewer private sector hours worked than it had in 2001. This five year loss of private sector hours worked is the first on record for private sector and the worst recorded for the entire labor force.”
It is obvious that job creation is slowing, but the labor supply isn’t. These records are from 2005, but show a trend that has gone on for more than fifteen years. Why do people apply in great numbers at places like Wal Mart and McDonalds, if there is a shortage of workers? Why are wages declining when they should be climbing because of demand for labor?
The flood of unskilled immigrant workers is contributing to the lower wages for unskilled workers in this country since they can be hired for less than Americans. These unskilled workers are willing to live at a much lower standard than most Americans, many times living with three and four families to a house, where Americans have lived at a higher standard for most of their lives. Much of this has come to pass with the growth of labor unions in this country and will be the biggest undermining factor of jobs for American citizens in years to come.
The number of aliens illegally immigrating to this country has increased by millions over the last ten years and so have the problems they create, such as free programs that are paid for by the taxpayers, such as schooling for their children, food stamps and housing assistance, not even touching on the loss of jobs to Americans. Many of these illegal immigrants join unions, which do nothing to keep them out and reserve the job openings for Americans. The unions are only interested in growing their numbers for voting power and increasing the burden for the American members.
Cause and Effect
It used to be that the cheap labor from south of our borders was the source of jobs for these illegals, but now it has expanded and the skilled trades are feeling the impact as well. President Stephen Anthony, of the Building and Trades Council, which is a network of union groups said, “Illegal immigrant welders have kept wages down for American workers. While union welders earn $23 dollars per hour, many of the non-union workers earn about $12 dollars per hour in the Fort Worth area. We have a problem with illegals working cheap, because it knocks down on the higher pay for union members. They have put the roofers and cement workers out of business. There is no longer workers trained in America that can afford to do that work.”
Mr Anthony is against the same thing that broke the United Farm workers in the 70s and 80s when Cesar Chavez led the UFW to a level playing field for the UFW to negotiate with the farm workers. According the words of Chavez himself, “Now the farm workers go to Mexico, where they have unrestricted use of illegal alien strike breakers to break a strike.” This was in his statement before the U S Senate in 1979.
Chavez understood the problems the UFW faced then and we need to understand what is happening today. To counteract against this problem the UFW even mounted its own patrols along the California, Mexican border to slow the illegals from coming into California and taking jobs that Americans were doing. It was similar to the Minutemen organization of today, but the flow moved to areas outside of California and the flow of illegals continued.
Until we hold the employers accountable and make it impossible for them to hire illegals with huge fines, the jobs we hold dear as Americans will continue to disappear until we are at the mercy of the illegal immigrants who are taking so many of our jobs. As Americans we have first right to these jobs as a fair wage. As far as the fallacy of a labor shortage, it is just that a fallacy and a lie. The thing that is in short supply is Americans who are not willing to take jobs for less than a fair compensation.
This is only a small amount of information on the reason amnesty will wreck the economy of this country, but it is information that we all need to be aware of. Amnesty will bring us to a level that we cannot survive, a standard of living that will sink to the level of standards that are in place in Mexico. We will become the new slaves of the rich, who care nothing for our country, or our welfare. Is this the end of the America we know? Is this to be the end of a good life, a free life and the beginning of the end of a powerful nation? Remember all great nations that have fallen, were brought down from within by men who have agendas other than that of the people they serve.
DESTRUCTION OF A CHANGING NATION

Contributions to National Destruction
Our country is changing forever and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Geography combined with increasing numbers and coupled with divisive institutions such as the Hispano Chamber of Commerce, LULAC and Congressional caucuses from racially oriented backgrounds work against the traditional melting pot of Americans who immigrated to this country at the turn of the century and into the 50s. On top of this there are cowardly, opportunistic, misguided, politicians who are led by these interests. The Mayors of San Francisco, Phoenix, many senators, Congressmen and Governors and don’t forget the labor unions and Catholic Church, which merged goals and exerted enough political pressure to kill the Mexican worker, or bracero program in 1965 and sowed the seeds which the current invasion grew out of.
The deeply ingrained Mexican culture will never allow the integration of the great majority of the millions that are illegally here and living as our citizens’ do, without paying into the system. They may come here to live in our midst, but these illegals will continue to be Mexicans at heart and spirit. Cinco de Mayo has permeated our country, though not too many people know it is the anniversary of a Mexican battle, fought on Mexican soil. How many of our anniversaries and our battles that were fought in our war of independence, or our Civil war are celebrated by these people who cling to their native land’s history? Who among these immigrants that would divide our nation know of the history of this country, or can even name any of the battles fought for the freedom they seek and enjoy?
It isn’t likened to the immigrants of a century ago, or even fifty years past. Those immigrants were seeking a new life and even forbid their children to speak Spanish; they were told to speak only English. The Mexican media of today carries articles and reports of Hispanic community activities that happen in most cities of our country; but these groups don't celebrate traditional American events, only events in Mexican history, that happened in Mexico. They are for remembering anniversaries of Mexican holidays; they are to build love causing the Mexicans in our midst to continue clinging to their own ethnic traditions, not ours.
Spanish language radio and TV stations and networks in the U S now control huge audiences, promote continued use and propagation of an alien language and culture, thus dividing our nation further; creating a rift that is ever widening in the land we call ‘the land of the free and the home of the brave’. After the huge pro-illegal alien demonstrations of 2006, Mexican activists living among us learned that large open displays of the Mexican flag on American soil, created resentment and that these displays were counterproductive.
They've passed the word to tone down these actions and use the American flag instead. But in their hearts it is not the American flag, but the Mexican flag to which they owe their allegiance. Among all aliens residing in the United States as permanent residents, those from Mexico have historically had the very lowest rate of naturalization as U.S. citizens. It is only recently that this began to change and only because Hispanic leaders of activism promote those residents' potential voting power as a way to influence politics in favor of the interests of illegal Latinos, making the populace think that they are in danger of losing out.
A Need For Strong Leadership
Amnesty is not the answer, since it will only shorten time the United States will be able to support the millions of illegals, even if they are allowed to become citizens and assimilate into our society. With the current recession problems we have and the more than 10% unemployment, it would be a sad mistake to take on the burden of these millions of illegals. It will undermine the economy, grow the unemployment rolls, add permanent burdens to our already flagging debt and create a huge dependence on our already overburdened social welfare system and at the expense of our taxpayers.
We desperately need strong, imaginative, leadership in Washington before it is too late. There is a great need for properly structured, national employer's sanction program to dry up the jobs that are a magnet that beckons illegals. Such a program would certainly cause the voluntary departure of millions of them and alleviate mass deportation costs. We need leadership that has the guts to tell the ethnic Chambers of Commerce it is their greed which aids and abets the illegal alien problem. That its consequent social ills can only bring the destruction of the very thing they came to this country for.
It was greed for cheap labor that brought slaves from Africa to the western hemisphere, caused the bloodbath of our Civil War. It is this same greed which today lures this mass of humanity to cross our borders; the uncounted millions who will forever change our social structure, our traditions, our language, our way of life and our very souls.
Political correctness, run amok demands for ‘human rights’ for illegal aliens is also helping to break our country’s economy, which is the very reason illegals cannot be given amnesty. But foremost, the reality is that there are billions of humans on this planet and we can neither keep absorbing them all, nor providing for their continued well being, or we will destroy country and ourselves. Another amnesty would be no more than an invitation for countless millions more to continue invading our country in the future, with the hope that they too could receive this free amnesty.
The United States was founded as a Republic, on Republican principles and Christian ideals that are completely foreign to the mentality of Chihuahua, Michoacán, Tamaulipas and the rest of Mexico. They have lived in the world an Oligarchy for many centuries, with a totally different mindset than ours. But some our government leaders want comprehensive immigration reform, which to them means amnesty for millions, with more to come later. There has to be an end to it someplace, and soon. Our nation cannot absorb these huge numbers of people at a time when we are in a very bad recession that is threatening to overwhelm our people, rivaled only by the Great Depression of the 20s and 30s.
