HISTORY REPEATED

I thought it was time for everyone to read about where we are now and feel the reason we need to stop the insanity in Washington before it is too late.I am adding this to today's post, so enjoy. Both posts are highly important to our modern society in America. We are repeating the same history that ruined Argentina, one of the richest countries in the world at the turn of the century.

REPEATING HISTORY
If you go back in history to the early 20th Century, Argentina was one of the richest nations in the world, second only to Britain and vying for second place with the US. It had vast areas of farmland and industrialization higher than a lot of European countries. In 1916 a new president, Hipolito Irigoyen became President, with a party he had formed called The Radicals under the guise of fundamental change, which at that time appealed to the Middle Class of that era. (This last part should sound familiar to everyone.)
Among many of the changes was mandatory Pension Insurance, mandatory government run Health Insurance, (which is what the Obama administration is trying to push on the American people) and government assistance for low-income housing to re-stimulate the economy and began assessing new payroll taxes and began to control vast interests in the country by the state to fund its efforts. With the vast flow of funds into these entitlements payouts became too generous causing the outlays of cash to be far more than the taxpayers input, becoming underfunded, much like our Social Security program and the government run Health Bill.
Continuing The Threat
Then Peron was elected and with his Fascist raised background he and his wife Eva aimed their rhetoric at the rich and quickly took in the propertied middle classes. Under Peron, bureaucracies exploded and Labor Unions caused the government to go into huge spending, as the government encouraged the growth of the Labor Unions.
High taxes and government mismanagement took their toll even after Peron had been pushed out of office. His Populist rhetoric and contempt for the economic realities were still there and government continued to spend beyond its means.
The printing of money with nothing to back it, to pay off government’s public debts, crushed the economy and a deep depression rose to 3,000%. Similar to the Weimar Republic, with food riots running rampant, stores being looted driving the country into chaos. In 1994 the Argentina’s Public Pension, (our Social Security) imploded as payroll taxes rose from 5% to 26%.
The End In Sight
Government privatization tried to rescue the elderly pensions but by 2001 they had been raided and the monies replaced by their defaulted government bonds. By 2002 they were in a crisis that rivaled the great depression of the U S.
This history of Argentina was repeated by the Weimar Republic that ushered in Adolph Hitler and now we are seeing it repeated in the U S by Barak Obama.
To top it off, Argentina implemented a VAT (Value Added Tax) similar to the local tax Las Cruces tried to implement on a local front, only in Argentina it was on a national level and aimed at the rich. These were passed along with personal taxes based on wealth and taxes on the sale of public enterprises which irreparably damaged the economy.
Fixing Our Mistakes
Have we learned nothing from History? Only we can stop this madness by exerting our will over the people to vote for the right people. I hear people say they are worried about what is happening. They should be worried, extremely worried. We are traveling the same road as Argentina and the Weimar Republic and are headed for another depression that will make the last one look like a walk in the park.
I can’t remember how many times I have heard people say it can’t happen again in the United States. We should never say something could never happen again, because history keeps repeating itself. Don’t you believe it! It can and will happen again, if we don’t get rid of the people in Washington that are leading us to destruction.
