EXPOSING DRUG TRADE GOALS

Behind The Scenes
A lot of work goes into outthinking and out guessing the drug trade and their next move and no one is better at the game than the DEA or ICE, simply because it is part and parcel their job. It is the job of DEA to bring down the cartels, the drug Lords and traffickers on both the American soil and for the DEA, in all parts of the world. These men are to admired not only for the courage they show when under fire but for there going in harm’s way each time they go under cover.
When we think of the Border Patrol, (which is now known as a segment of ICE) we think of the men we see in the green and white cars patrolling along our borders and inland searching out illegal’s. This is only a small part of their job. In many cases they work closely with the DEA, local law enforcement and even interact with their counterparts on the Mexican side of the border. They go under cover to catch the criminals that run illegal contraband across our borders and on some occasions work under cover in Mexico and this is where the job becomes very complicated and dangerous.
Because of the amount of Mordida that is spread so feely in Mexico undercover officers never know who they can trust, whether they are DEA or ICE agents. The lure of big money, (which there seems to be no shortage of in the cartels) brings out the worst in many men, especially men that see too little pay in their fields in a country that is sadly, very poor, brings out the greed in some of the strongest men. This is not only a problem on the Mexican Side of the border, it can and on occasion has become a problem on this side of the border.
Many times undercover officers have been killed because they were sold out by their own comrades in arms for money, but as a whole they are honest, hardworking and highly dedicated men trying to stem the tide of illicit drugs that flows constantly across our border with Mexico. It also causes problems in their families and marriages due to the stress it puts on them and the family unit.
I have known many men and women who have retired from their duties with the Border Patrol before it became an arm of Homeland Security and were re-designated as ICE. I still am friends with a number of these stalwart men who guard our borders against drug smuggling, illegals from both Mexico and other countries such as the middle east, Iraq and about any other country you can name that has sent suicide bombers into this country to do their deadly work. I also know a number of dedicated men that work for the DEA and that have retired from there as well.
The one thing they have in common is that their hands are tied by the politics of our country and those of Mexico. This country has been fighting what we commonly know as the ‘drug wars’ for years, seeming to take two steps forward and one and a half back in this battle. If anyone cared to look closely, they could find the answer to our problem very easily. It is the political correctness of what our government allows our men who are fighting this so called ‘drug war’ to do to end it. Throughout history it has been proven that one cannot fight any type of war efficiently and win, as long as the politicians and appointed leaders must work inside of thin guidelines set out by those same politicians.
Tying It Together
To understand it a little more, think of the lands in the U S where illegal drugs like marijuana is grown, (illegally of course) and think then of what it is worth on the open market. It used to be an American home grown business that was used by people who were on the outside of the law, but then the Mexican cartels found out that they were losing a lot of their market in this country to these locals and they began to send men in with guns to take over the fields that were planted in valleys, hidden by trees and shrubbery and outgunning the home grown bunch of growers, they took over the businesses as their own by right of might.
The Mexican cartels are not satisfied with just binging illicit drugs across the border, they want complete control of the lucrative market in this country and to get it they will take over the local manufacture of meth, the growing of marijuana, control the conduits we are foolish enough to make for them by creating Wilderness Areas close to the border. This is the main reason for the drug wars for supremacy of Juarez. He who controls Juarez controls the next conduit into the United States. Once they have this contained under their control, they will move across the border into the cities and towns and control them as well.
I read an article in the in the KVIA news yesterday morning that falls right into line with what I am now writing about and if you will read it, it will open your eyes to just how serious the threat is to this country. Since I am unsure of the link to this piece I will give you a way to get to it. I subscribe to the KVIA Headline News on Line to keep up on what is going on in my part of the country. If you would like to read the article go to kvia.com (you can find this on my link page) and when you have the site, go tot search and type in Alicia Caldwell and this should take you to the story. It should be the first one up.
I would advise anyone to subscribe to this, since you will get updated headlines on stories that center around El Paso, Juarez and souther New Mexico. It is a good source of information on the area and along with the exposes I write on the dangers involved with crating a Wilderness in the area of the Robledo, Organ, Potrillo and Uvas mountain areas, one can get a true picture of what will happen.
